DFIN manages multiple data rooms, secure virtual spaces designed for submitting, sharing and legal documents.
These enviroments support various user roles with different levels of access and permissions such as: admin, editor, and viewer.

The main challenge was to create a simpler and more intuitive experience that worked seamlessly for both new joiners and long-time employees. Maintaining familiar, traditional interactions while improving overall usability was key to ensuring adoption and consistency.

The process began by meeting with multiple colleagues and key stakeholders to clarify requirements and address uncertainties. From there, I defined the UX flow and designed tailored UI views for each user role and hierarchy level. I paid special attention to the handoff documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity for a smooth implementation with the development team.

The outcome was a clean, intuitive interface that transformed outdated flows into a more learnable, consistent, and simple user experience, improving efficiency and usability across the platform.
